Obv: Bare head of Augustus right, C/M’s: AVG & TICÆ
Rx: Worn smooth.
In the 1st century A.D. heavily worn coins were occasionally recalled by the mint to be countermarked, officially extended their useful, circulating life - sometimes they were re-tariffed as a lower denomination.
