"The Year of Five Emperors (AD 193) & the Severan Dynasty" Roman History Part VI Contest.
Last year we finished with the murder of Commodus, so now we invite our students to the year 193 AD : The Year of Five Emperors, which leads into the Severan Dynasty. A lot to research, but a silver Denarius to be won in this contest!

Our January Winners... Senior - comes from NY state with only 1.5 wrong answers ! Marvellous!!! The Junior winner comes from VA with 69 out of 74.... great for a 13 year old ! To provide a rough background of what came before the Roman Emperors, we compiled a contest in the hope that the ACE students will "research"! And they did - bravo.

 . Scott Uhrick's generous Roman Pottery donation inspired a TEACHERS CONTEST. Three ACE Teachers won pieces of genuine Roman Pottery and an Identified Roman coin each ( already sent them in December 2011) The Runners up will be receiving a Romano-Celtiberian piece in January 2012.
